Like her mistress she has a soft spot for the Griffin family, and when not carrying messages or pecking worms, can often be found keeping an eye on Slava and his children. For simplicity's sake, most consider her as an extension of Sveltana's personality (though Bluebeak will tell you that it's the other way round). Lords or peasants alike, Bluebeak won't hesitate to mock or scold if she hears foolish words.īluebeak's true nature and origins remain shrouded in mystery. Maybe that's no bad thing given the no-nonsense attitude this bird possesses. Bluebeak, Sveltana's familiar, is one clever raven, although unless you're a member of House Griffin you'll be hard pressed to understand her screeches.
