Once you’ve slowed down, let up off both brakes, continue to turn and hold the gas down. To start a spin, gain some speed then simultaneously hit the brakes and handbrake while turning. You need 100,000 points for the platinum. Next is the Spin Tutorial, very easy if you use a little trick. But keep going at it and you’ll get it eventually. This is a very challenging platinum and will likely take a couple of hours. Then gun it towards the other gate and keep held down as you begin the next drift.
What I found worked best was as soon as you come out the other gate of the drift, let up off the gas to straighten yourself back out. You need to drift hard and use the to maintain your drift throughout. If you miss a drift and earn no points, you may as well restart. Max is 5,000, but you need to score at least 4,000 the majority of the time (you can maybe get away with one or two 3,000s). Each time you drift through a gate or between markers, you’ll gain points. Then drive to the gate in front of you and repeat. You need to be drifting as you pass under a gate and continue drifting all the way around (staying in between the markers), out of the gate on the other side. In order to earn the platinum, you’ll be drifting in a figure of eight through the gates. As soon as you’re able to drive, press to switch to second gear and stay in that gear the entire time.

Most importantly, pause the event when it starts and select Options, then Controls, and change to Manual transmission. This tutorial is extremely difficult to platinum, you’ll need to score 145,000 points. Next is the Drift Tutorial, this is the hardest platinum in the game. Just make sure to hit the jumps straight on and you should have no problem netting the platinum. All the jumps after the first should be 10,000 points. The trick is to let up off the gas when you begin your drift, then when you’ve almost turned 180 degrees, hold down the gas to hit the next jump with enough power. On the first jump, score 5,000 points then drift as soon as you land. This one is much easier than the previous tutorial. Next is the Jump Tutorial, you’ll need 45,000 points to score platinum. Go up the ramp, smash the signs atop the containers and after the last two, keep left to go down another ramp to smash the final sign. After fully circling around the second concrete pipe, smash the signs ahead while drifting to the right to turn 180 degrees. When you come back around, drive to the right of the buried pipes you drove through and circle around the two smaller concrete pipes (approach them from the left and drift to begin driving around them, being sure to hit every sign). The route to take: start by driving through the large buried pipes ahead, then drifting right and smashing all the signs along the outside.
Just remember you can use five flashbacks. You have to hit every sign and aren’t given any extra time for mistakes. This one is pretty difficult and will definitely take you multiple tries. First is the Smash Tutorial, which you’ll need to score 200,000 points for platinum. There are five tutorials and you need to earn platinum on all of them for an achievement. You have drifted past 25,000 points in a Drift Showcase DC Challenge Just try to keep drifts going and drift as much as possible and you’ll eventually get the platinum and unlock: After quite a few attempts, I made those two adjustments and was able to get it within a couple of tries.ĭon’t worry about driving off the cliff or the road, as you’ll still get your points and you’ll respawn back on the track.
